Using Podcasting for Instruction

We're building a repository of instructional ideas and strategies for using podcasts in schools.

I'd like to generate a bank of ideas (anything from a quick brainstorm idea to refined activities and units) that teachers could contribute to, draw from, and even refine.

Click here to check it out. If you would like to contribute ideas or activities, just email me and I'll send out an invitation to you.

We'd love to hear from you!

Instructional Ideas:
Podcasts can serve for student feedback. Students read books into the podcast and listen to themselves for reading fluency. Teachers can generate podcasts for kids to listen to as good speech modles. (ie speech children or English Language Learners). Students can generate a podcast as a culumniation exercise. Teachers can use this as an assessment tool. Podcasts can be used to record important events that happen in the classroom.
